Design + measure
We measure the area, note trees, drains and easements on your survey, and choose turf and infill with you on your Plantation property.
Broward County artificial turf installer
Plantation has a detailed synthetic turf code that covers everything from base depth to setbacks and tree protection. We design to it, prepare the Engineering permit, and install the turf.

Built for Plantation
Plantation’s mature canopy is one of the reasons people live here, and it’s also the biggest constraint on turf. The City requires a dripline plan from an ISA Certified Arborist where the base would come near tree roots, and we plan the turf area around that from day one.
New construction is different. On the Plantation new build shown here, we designed the concrete, turf joints and a backyard pickleball court together, so drainage, setbacks and the turf base were planned before any concrete was poured.

Plantation turf rules
We’re a State of Florida Certified General Contractor (CGC1527850). We check the rules for your lot, prepare any permit, and schedule inspections. Here’s what applies:
Sources: City of Plantation Code Sec. 27-298, Synthetic Turf; Florida Rule 62-308.100; Section 125.572, Florida Statutes; Florida DEP Synthetic Turf FAQ. Turf rules changed in 2026 and cities are still updating their codes, so we confirm the current requirements with the city before every job. This is general information, not legal advice.
Artificial turf options in Plantation
Turf fails from the bottom up. Every install gets a porous rock base, proper slope, anchored edges and seams you can’t see.
No-mow turf lawns on a drained rock base, with clean edges at beds and walkways.
Concrete panels with turf strips, each joint built on its own drained base.
Turf lines and lawn areas planned with the deck so the pool area drains.
Shaped putting surfaces with fringe turf, next to the pool or patio.
Turf with a pet-friendly infill and a base that rinses clean.
Stone or paver slabs set with turf joints for a softer modern look.
How a Plantation turf job gets built
The base in step three decides whether the turf drains after a summer storm, so we don’t rush it.
We measure the area, note trees, drains and easements on your survey, and choose turf and infill with you on your Plantation property.
We prepare the Plantation turf or landscaping permit and any HOA submittal, and schedule the install once approved.
We remove sod and roots, cap sprinkler heads in turf areas, set edging, and compact a washed, porous rock base without sealing the soil below.
We roll out and seam the turf, anchor every edge, brush in the infill, and walk the finished area with you.

Plantation turf questions
Clear answers before you get quotes.
Usually, yes. The City requires an Engineering permit, or includes turf in a pool or patio building permit. Only very small installations under 50 square feet and $1,500 that meet the placement rules are exempt.
Yes, with planning. Plantation requires an arborist’s dripline plan where the base comes near roots, and the state standards keep turf out of drip lines unless an arborist approves. We often use mulch beds or ground cover under the canopy and turf in the open areas.
Plantation’s code requires at least 4 inches of porous crushed rock, more than many nearby cities. We build to that depth and show it on the permit cross section.
Plantation’s code allows small turf inlays in a driveway pattern, but not in the public right-of-way or the driveway apron. We stop the pattern at the property line.
