We measure the area, note trees, drains and easements on your survey, and choose turf and infill with you on your Fort Lauderdale property.
Broward County artificial turf installer
Fort Lauderdale requires a landscaping permit to install or replace landscaping, and turf is no exception. We’ve built turf-joint driveways and pool decks across the city and handle the permits through LauderBuild.

Built for Fort Lauderdale
Many Fort Lauderdale homes are on the water or on low, sandy lots where heavy rain sits for hours. A turf area has to drain at least as well as the lawn it replaces, so we build a washed, porous rock base and set grades that move water away from the house and toward your yard, not your neighbor’s.
On waterfront lots, the state turf rule keeps turf back from the water unless there’s a seawall or bulkhead between them. We plan where the turf stops along the water and how the edge is anchored to resist wind and flooding.

Fort Lauderdale turf rules
We’re a State of Florida Certified General Contractor (CGC1527850). We check the rules for your lot, prepare any permit, and schedule inspections. Here’s what applies:

Turf rules changed in 2026 and cities are still updating their codes, so we confirm the current requirements with the city before every job. This is general information, not legal advice.
Artificial turf options in Fort Lauderdale
Turf fails from the bottom up. Every install gets a porous rock base, proper slope, anchored edges and seams you can’t see.
No-mow turf lawns on a drained rock base, with clean edges at beds and walkways.
Concrete panels with turf strips, each joint built on its own drained base.
Turf lines and lawn areas planned with the deck so the pool area drains.
Shaped putting surfaces with fringe turf, next to the pool or patio.
Turf with a pet-friendly infill and a base that rinses clean.
Stone or paver slabs set with turf joints for a softer modern look.
How a Fort Lauderdale turf job gets built
The base in step three decides whether the turf drains after a summer storm, so we don’t rush it.
We measure the area, note trees, drains and easements on your survey, and choose turf and infill with you on your Fort Lauderdale property.
We prepare the Fort Lauderdale turf or landscaping permit and any HOA submittal, and schedule the install once approved.
We remove sod and roots, cap sprinkler heads in turf areas, set edging, and compact a washed, porous rock base without sealing the soil below.
We roll out and seam the turf, anchor every edge, brush in the infill, and walk the finished area with you.

Fort Lauderdale turf questions
Clear answers before you get quotes.
The City’s land development code requires a landscaping permit to install or replace landscaping, and swale work needs an Engineering right-of-way permit. We confirm which permits your project needs and file them in LauderBuild.
Possibly, but expect review. Landmarks and historic district properties can need a Certificate of Appropriateness, and the Historic Preservation Board has denied turf at a landmark property. We check your property’s status first.
The state standards keep turf back from waterbodies unless a physical barrier like a seawall or bulkhead separates them. With a seawall, turf can usually run closer to it. We anchor the edge so wind and storm surge can’t lift it.
Yes. Turf joints between concrete panels are one of our most popular Fort Lauderdale designs, like the sunburst driveway above. Each joint gets a drained base so it doesn’t sink under tires.
