Broward County paver contractor

Pavers in Coral Springs.

We’ve built travertine and paver work in Coral Springs, including the pool deck shown here. Driveway aprons and swales need their own City permit, so we plan the right-of-way part from the start.

Built for Coral Springs

Pavers for established Coral Springs homes.

Many Coral Springs homes date from the 1970s through the 1990s, and original concrete drives and patios are wearing out. Replacing them with pavers or travertine is one of the most common upgrades we price here.

Where the driveway meets the street, the swale and apron are in the City’s right-of-way. That part needs its own Engineering permit, and the homeowner remains responsible for maintaining it, so we build it to the City’s standard.

Coral Springs paver permits

What Coral Springs asks for.

We’re a State of Florida Certified General Contractor (CGC1527850). We prepare the permit package, submit it, and schedule every inspection. Here’s what the city looks for:

  • Patios and slabs are permitted with the City’s Pool Deck/Patio/Slab checklist, which includes a Lot Coverage Calculation Worksheet, survey, plans and Structural and Zoning review.
  • Work in the swale needs a separate Swale Permit, reviewed by Engineering and Zoning, with plans signed and sealed by an architect or engineer and a tree removal application if trees are affected.
  • Under the Land Development Code, right-of-way work needs a city engineer permit, the applicant indemnifies the City, and the abutting owner maintains improvements in the right-of-way.
  • A recorded Notice of Commencement is required over $5,000.
  • Coral Springs has not accepted paper permit submittals since January 1, 2026.
  • Since July 1, 2026, state law exempts some single-family work under $7,500 from permits, but not structural work, pool barriers, electrical or plumbing work, or properties in a flood hazard area. Work in the city right-of-way, such as a driveway apron, still needs its own right-of-way permit.

How a Coral Springs paver job gets built

Four steps from layout to sealed joints.

The base work in step three decides how the pavers look in ten years, so we never rush it.

01

Design + measure

We measure the site, check your survey and setbacks, and lay out pattern, borders and drainage with samples on your Coral Springs property.

02

Permit + approvals

We prepare the Coral Springs permit package and any HOA submittal, and schedule the work once approved.

03

Excavate + base

We remove the old surface, excavate, then place and compact the base in lifts before screeding the bedding sand.

04

Lay, compact + seal

We lay and cut the pavers, set the edge restraint, sand and compact the joints, pass final inspection and seal when ready.

Coral Springs paver questions

What Coral Springs homeowners ask first.

Clear answers before you get quotes.

Do I need a separate permit for pavers in the swale?+

Yes. Coral Springs treats swale work as its own permit, reviewed by Engineering and Zoning, with signed and sealed plans. We prepare it alongside the main permit so both are approved together.

Who maintains pavers in the right-of-way?+

The homeowner. Under the City’s Land Development Code, the abutting owner maintains improvements in the right-of-way, so we build that section to the City’s standard to keep future repairs rare.

Can you replace an old concrete patio with travertine?+

Yes. We remove the old slab, correct the slope, build a compacted base and install travertine. The pool deck in our photos is a Coral Springs project.

Do pavers count in my lot coverage?+

Yes. The City’s Lot Coverage Calculation Worksheet is part of the patio and slab permit, so we run the numbers before you choose a layout.
